In 2016, I picked up my little Canon PowerShot and photographed everything I could—stars, the moon, animals, plants, buildings, anything that felt beautiful. I was fueled by a sense of fun and an irresistible urge to capture both the vast and the small.

But the moment I picked up my first real camera and photographed someone’s wedding, everything changed. What once felt playful suddenly felt purposeful. That feeling only deepened when I photographed my friend’s and my sister-in-law’s maternity sessions. In those moments, I knew—this was what I was meant to do.
